Tourist Information for Winnipeg & Area

There is lots to see and do around Barrie in the city. Take a tour of the city's shoreline, either from land or by boat. To the east of Winipeg are several German and Mennonite communities, most notably Steinbach, which is home to the Mennonite Heritage Village. To the north (on the shores of Lake Winnipeg) is Gimli, the largest Icelandic community outside of Iceland, and Grand Beach, with its white sandy beaches..

For those travelling between Canada & the US, those entering (or re-entering) the U.S.A. BY AIR are required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document. As of January 31, 2008, these rules include those entering the USA BY LAND OR SEA.
