43 greenhouses stand on 128 hectares of coniferous trees grown for provincial reforestation of Crown lands, Christmas trees, and farm woodlots,. Guided tours discuss the process from seed extraction to seedling harvesting. Open year-round weekdays 9 am to 4 pm, with group tours by appointment. Free Admission..

Sandilands Forest Centre
2.5 km south of junction Highway 1 and hwy 11

This 121 hectare centre educates visitors on forest conservation, reforestation and fire prevention. The area ahas a black spruce bog, eastern deciduous and jackpine forests. Cross the Beaven Suspension Bridge over the Whitemouth River. The museum displays plant and animal species from the area. A railway car used by forestry officials from 1919 to 1974 is on display. Digital images of bark, leaves and seeds tests visitors' knowledge of tree species. Open daily July & August, and weekdays May through mid-October by appointment. Admission charge for groups.

This trail passes through aspen parkland and boreal forest. Open mid-May to mid-October. Free admission, but guided tours are $2.
