This small hamlet lies eat of Winnipeg's perimeter highway. It is a farming community that is also a bedroom community for Winnipeg.
The community was fiorst named Sunnyside in 1879, but renamed to Dugald in 1890 after Dugald Gillespie, who arrived here from Ontario in 1880.

Dugald Costume Museum

This museum has a 35,000 piece collection of clothing and accessories dating from the reign of Queen Elizabeth I to modern times. Displays reflect a different theme each year, with exhibits in a Tableaux vivant or living picture style (like a full-size diorama). There is also a restored 1886 pioneer home and a Victorian style tea room. Allow 2 hours. Open Wed-Friday 10 am to 5 pm, weekends 12 noon - 5 pm, April to mid-November; and weekdays 10 am to 5 pm, weekends noon to 5 pm, June-August. Admission $3.50, students $2.50, families $8. Tea room open weekdays 11 am to 3 pm, weekends 12 noon to 3 pm.
